Two kinds of message, and nothing else:
We do not send marketing blasts, promotions for other companies, or messages about events you have nothing to do with. If you never seat yourself at an event, this program never sends you anything.
By ticking a checkbox on the same screen where you enter your phone number: either on the seat page for an event, at sonarconnections.com/e/, or on our public opt-in page at sonarconnections.com/opt-in. Both show the same box, which reads:
Text me when someone here wants to connect, plus event updates. Reply STOP to stop.
Message frequency varies by event. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
The box is unchecked by default and taking a seat never requires it. You can sign in, take your seat, and use every part of Sonar Connections without ever ticking it. Consent to messages is a separate choice, and it is yours.
We record that you ticked it, when you ticked it, and which version of the wording above you were shown. We do not record anything else about the decision.
Mobile opt-in information is not shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Your phone number and your consent are stored on a server-only record that no other user and no client device can read. They are used to deliver the messages described above and for nothing else. The only parties that touch them are the service providers who deliver the messages on our behalf, listed in Section 5 of the Privacy Policy, and they act for us rather than for themselves.
Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply according to your own plan.
