What it serves

Three domains, listed as peers. None of them is the umbrella the others hang under, and more land over time.

Live events

The event catalog Sonar Connections runs: which events are on, the booths and vendors on the floor, what each one sells, the offers live right now, and the agenda or lineup.

Public open data

A public data source's own catalog and records, structured for an assistant to read. One source today: the City of Long Beach open data portal (DataLB), served under the license the City states on each dataset.

Business availability

A business's published services or menu with prices, its weekly opening hours, today's hours, and the appointment times it has open.

A business's services or menu with prices, its weekly hours, today's hours, and whether it takes appointments at all.

biz_menu
A business's pickup menu with prices, allergens, and how far ahead each item has to be ordered, plus the pickup windows open on a date. A business that does not take pickup orders says so and gives its hours instead.
"What can I pick up from Long Beach Brunch Bakehouse on Saturday?"

The appointment times a business has open on a given date, read live from that business's own calendar.

Booking is coming

Reading a calendar and writing to one are different promises. Taking an appointment, which writes into a business's own calendar, is available today to partners on request and is not part of this public connector. It will be listed once it carries sign-in, so that a business can see and revoke who is booking on its behalf. Ask us at founders@sonarconnections.com.

Attribution and licensing

Every answer this connector returns names its source, and we ask that you carry that through into anything you publish from it.

Open data comes from the publishing body and is served under the license that body states on each dataset, which the connector reports alongside the records: the City of Long Beach open data portal (DataLB) states CC BY on most of its datasets and states no license on some, and the connector says which. Event and business facts come from Sonar Connections and from the organizers and owners who publish them. When you use these facts in an answer, please credit both the original publisher and Sonar Connections.
